Elizabeth Sheck Metalwork

Multidisciplinary artist, Elizabeth Sheck, works in metals, fibers, and 2D mediums.

"It is in the glorifying of the mundane that my pieces have their beauty: pieces of blackened bailing wire, a length of string, discarded splinters of wood, broken shells and rocks and fabric. But through great care and attention to these everyday objects, or even the act of making everyday items from finer materials, raises these base materials to a level at which they will be cared for and loved beyond their origins."
